Home composting is an easy to follow guide to making compost (the organic way), full of nutrients for the soil and used in gardens to make the soil better.
Organic waste (leaves, chopped wood, decaying animals and and other organisms) creates a thick layer of humus.
To be able to do so, it is necessary to have large 'composter'. Due to it's insulated double-walled design, the internal temperature stays warmer than the outside air. Running vertically through the composter is an aeration tube which also speeds up the rate of decomposition. Making compost, we can improve our environment and fight climate change.
Additionally, it also helps residents save money thanks to implementing composting initiatives. Local citizens who use correctly our designed compost bin can receive a 20% cashback on waste tax (TARI).
Joining our composting program is easy: you need a spare corner of the garden or an accessible location where to place a compost bin. To get it, you just have to go to Environment Department (via ing. Spadola 56), you fill out the forms and we call you back as soon as possible.
